Workshop and Class Participation Policy

You may register for a Class or Workshop via our website, in person, via email form or by calling the studio at 443-892-3885. We allow the following payment terms; book a class or workshop with a 50% non-refundable deposit, and / or pay for the class in full. Payment in full is required 48 hours prior to the date to secure your space for any class or workshop. If you should happen to cancel your class we will provide a credit to a new class.

Each class or workshop is limited to six (6) participants, as that is all the space currently allowed to fit comfortably in the studio and we have machines for. This also ensures each attendee will receive plenty of hands on instruction, as well as giving the participants the chance to get to know one another.
Due to the limited amount of available spaces, registration for classes and workshops are non-refundable. Please check your schedule carefully before registering. We reserve the right to cancel a class or workshop and in the rare event that we need to cancel a class or workshop for which you are registered, you will receive a full refund of the fees paid. A few days before any class or workshop start date, you will receive an email with information about the weekend: a supply list, location information, and a few questions about your preferences.
If the e-mail address you used to register via PayPal is different from the e-mail you use for everyday correspondence, please contact us so we can make a note of your preferred e-mail address. All classes and workshops are for students aged 12 and over, unless specified otherwise. Please no food or drink (aside from water in covered containers) in the workspace.
All Classes / Workshops are held in our light-filled, fully equipped, delightful workspace in Mount Rainier, Maryland. Please be aware that class is located up two flights of stairs. We do not have lift accommodations as of yet. Sewing involves the use of sewing machines and irons, as well as needles, scissors, and rotary cutters. By your participation in any class, workshop, lesson, or workspace usage, you agree to release and hold harmless Sew Chic Fabrics and Crafts, it’s instructors, and employees from any and all claims and liability related to any accident that may arise as a result. All sewing machines and essential tools are provided; you need only to bring your class supplies. If you prefer to bring your own machine, please let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
