Jean Making Workshop - Sunday
Do your jeans gap in the back? Do your jeans ride down in the back and ride up in the front? Is the waistband of your jeans often to lose and it the hips? Or do you find the legs are just too skinny! Join us for this Jean Making workshop where you will learn how to fit yourself to a T to the perfect fit jeans! Once you make a pair of Ginger jeans you will not want store bought jeans! The process is not as difficult as you think!
The Workshop
We will begin the workshop with learning how to measure – waist, high hip, low hip, derrière, and most importantly crotch measurements. We then compare those measurements to those of the pattern.
The cost of this Workshop is $295 for the weekend and Weekday workshop and the two Sunday Workshop is $325, includes use of shop equipment, lunch, and snacks (with the weekend workshop), 16+ hours of guided sewing instruction. We will use the Ginger Jeans Pattern for the workshop with is a curvy girl fit and two style – regular waist and high-rise skinny jeans using stretch denim. We can provide the kits.
You will learn how to choose the correct size, how to insert a fly-front zipper, how to topstitch, serged seam finishes and flat seams for comfort, and then adding the jean button and rivets. We will also learn some quick techniques for a faster jean sew. You may NOT finish your jeans in class but you will be able to complete at home.
*Please review our Workshop and Class Policies.
