Bra Making Workshop - Special

Donna Whitaker of Curvy Girls are Chic, will guide us through making a Wired Bra pattern. Donna will teach us how to measure, cut, sew, fit, and alter a custom underwire bra. We may use three different bras in this class.

The beginner class will only teach one view; the underwire regular bra. 

The Workshop

Workshop registration fee covers a basic bra materials kit, which contains enough fabric and findings to make two bras (one muslin created in the workshop, and the other you create at home.) 

The cost of this Workshop is $395, which includes TWO Full-Day Sundays (7 hours each day, Bra Making Kit use of Shop equipment.}

2 Sundays Workshop 

Workshop class begins at 10:00 AM and runs until 6:00 PM, you may arrive 30 minutes prior to class to set-up your machine and other materials.

Day One – reviews the pattern, instructions, wire and frame fit we will lay out pattern, cut our frame for fit, and cut out cups

Day Two – we will insert the cups, add the straps, do a fit test, and add any adjustments.

We may work with a variety of bra patterns:

1. The Labellum Bra pattern is available in a wide range of sizes from 29A to 42GG and three different styles.
2. The Josey Bra pattern is available for personal use only, it is suitable for the following sizes.
30 H to 30 I, 32 G to 32 I, 34 DDD/F to 34 J, 36 DD/E to 36 I, 38 D to 38 H, 40 C to 40 G, 42 D to 42 DDD/F

3. Harriet Bra that goes from sizes 28A to 42H

Workshop Location Information

If you are local to the area, Sew Chic Fabrics and Crafts Studio is located 5 to 10-minute walk from the Rhode Island Bus Station. If you’re planning to drive in, there is metered on-street parking, and a parking lot located in the back on a first come first served basis.
