Intermediate: Saturday MIDDAY 1/2 Day Session NOW 1 - 5 PM
This beginner sewing class is an intermediate beginner class. This class is for those students who are familiar with sewing, can lay-out fabric and pattern on their own, AND own their own sewing machine.
The Studio provides basic ruler(s) / tape measure, straight pins, other notions, and scissors for your use during class.
In this class you may learn any of the following techniques:
- Measure and cut from measurements (a self-created simple pattern)
- Learn to Read a sewing pattern and cut from the pattern
- Take one’s measurements and someone else’s measurements
- Create a project from measurements
- Thread the sewing machine
- Square a corner and create a lining
- Practice straight stitches and curves
- Basic hand sewing techniques
While we do provide some basic tools for use during class. There are also basic sewing supplies that are needed for sewing at home and in any other sewing class.
We also have a basic sewing kit available for purchase at the time of class. Please inform us ahead of time if you would like to purchase this kit.
