Adult: Intermediate Sewing Midday Saturday 1-4 PM
This is an intermediate / advanced sewing class, the pre-requisite to this class is beginner sewing.
This class provides the sewing machine (for learning), basic ruler / tape measure, straight pins, other notions, and scissors.
In this class you may learn any of the following techniques:
- Measure and cut from measurements (self-created simple pattern)
- Read a sewing pattern and cut from the pattern
- Take one’s measurements and someone else’s measurements
- Create a project from measurements
- Thread elastic through a casing
- Hem pants by hand and by machine
- Square a corner and create a lining
- Practice straight stitches and curves
- Basic hand sewing techniques
While we do provide basic supplies (scissors, thread, seam ripper, etc.) As a small business we want to keep economic development within the small business community. As a small business we are pleased to supply you with a variety of sewing supplies available for purchase at the shop.

This class is limited to project based learning. We won't be able to do alteration learning or pattern drafting in this class as this learning takes more dedicated time and learning.
