Crochet Basics 101

Introductory crochet class great for beginners, or to brush up formally on the basic fundamentals of Crochet.

Students will become familiar with holding a crochet hook, and yarn

as well as learn the science behind the craft of crochet.

Students can expect to also learn how to 
start a project, basic stitches such as Chaining, Single Crochet (SC), Double Crochet (DC), and Slip Stitch (SS). Students will also learn how to close off a project.

Instructor: Onni Adams
Instructor Bio: Crochet designer and fiber artist instructor Onni Adams, has been a master of fiber arts for over 16 years. Onni got her start professionally taking classes in crochet and knitting at the Brooklyn Yarn Cafe at the age of 8 years. Soon after, she trained in sewing by the age of 10 years through school programs and the at-home-teaching of her grandmother. Originally from New York City, Onni has been teaching the art of crochet and crochet design for the last 3 years. Specializing in gown making, textile mixing, and designing, not only are her skills beyond comparable measure but so is her creativity. When taking a class with this creative Brooklyn native, not only will you be pushed to learn something new, but you?ll be surprised how much you learn about yourself and your creativity.
